Watermelon and Raspberry Juice
Watermelon and Raspberry Juice

 Ingredients:

1 whole watermelon

1 cup of raspberries

1 orange

10 fresh mint leaves

First of all, cut the watermelon into chunks and remove the skin.

Blend all of the watermelons before you start adding other ingredients.

Pass the blended watermelon through a sieve so that you remove any remains of seeds. This might not be necessary depending on your blender.

Peel the orange and cut into a few chunks. You may also want to strain the orange juice if you can see pips but try not to remove all of the pulp.

Put the sieved watermelon back into the blender with the orange and add the raspberries and mint leaves.

The combination of the three fruits is perfect for a warm summer’s day, especially if you add ice to your glass first.

None of the flavors are too overpowering so it is a great way to get the kids to try different fruits.

Check the quality of your watermelon to make sure you are getting the most flavor from it.

If you don’t have mint don’t worry, you can use basil instead. Both of these herbs will give an extra kick to the juice.

Once you have mastered this juice you can try substituting the mint for a squirt of lime juice for that hint of citrus.

You will get 4 glasses of juice with these ingredients but if you are adding ice, maybe 5.

If you are planning a get-together, save a couple of raspberries to add to the glass.

A mint leaf also makes a beautiful decoration.
